This is a beautiful bowl from right here in Montevallo, Alabama! This came from an oak tree on my neighbor’s property that came dow my during a storm last year! It was roughed in August ‘22 and finished in February ‘23. While drying it developed some cracks, one in a particularly peculiar Star shape that. These cracks were filled with crushed soapstone, creating an amazing contrast. The outside was sanded to 1000 grit and the inside to 320 before finishing with a food safe Danish oil from Tried and True finishes. The bowl measures 9”D x 3”H.
